Camps

Each year we offer two types of camps: a weekend long sleepover training camp for all ages and week long summer day camps for kids.

Weekend Training Camp (Gasshuku)

Our 2024 Weekend Gasshuku is being held June 7,8,9.  This year we are offering a one-day Day Camp at our weekend training event on Saturday, June 8th. We offer an early enrollment with a discount by February 28th.  The regular deadline to register is May 11th, 2024.

The Gasshuku has been designed to provide concentrated, energetic instruction combined with planned recreation time.  Each student is expected to work hard during the regularly scheduled classes, to practice during practice periods, to obey all camp rules, and have a great time at the many recreational events available at the Camp.

The Kokoro Kai Gasshuku has been developed by the Senior Black Belt Staff Members of OUR KAI.  All classes and activities will be supervised by the Senior Black Belt Staff Members.

The Kokoro Kai Gasshuku will be held at Camp Nockamixon, located in Kintnersville, PA, just north of
Doylestown.
This camp provides over 30 acres of beautiful woods and fields.  Each camper will have ample opportunity to enjoy recreational swimming in the Olympic size pool and two Water Slides(!!), boating and fishing on a private lake, basketball courts, athletic fields, tennis courts, beach volleyball, movies, ga-ga courts, snack bar, Obstacle and Ropes Course, and servings of delicious meals served in the dining hall.

Our Kai Camp Offers:
  • A full weekend or a full day (your choice) of intensive training and learning in traditional & mixed martial arts.
  • The emphasis of each class will be on discipline and concentrated attention on improving each and every individual.
  • Classes are geared towards building confidence, self-defense, knowledge, discipline, posture, balance, coordination, and a “yes I can!” Attitude.
  • Development of a positive and competitive spirit.
  • Beginners through advanced students will benefit (as best suited to the needs and intentions of the student).
This year we have two options for Camp Participation:
  • Full Weekend of Camp includes two nights stay in our cabins and five meals or
  • Saturday full day of training includes lunch and dinner
